The very first Jurassic Park movie is one of the few films that still gives me goosebumps when I think about it. I remember my cinema pulling out all the stops, setting up an actual T-Rex head for audiences to walk through as they sipped and dined on Jurassic Park coke and popcorn. Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World wasn’t a bad sequel, but it wasn’t up to the benchmark set by the original film. And while Jurassic Park 3 wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t exactly excellent either. Maybe, just maybe Jurassic World can reignite that feeling.

Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.

Chris Pratt, leading Velociraptors into battle while riding a motorcycle on the hunt for a genetically modified super dinosaur. Gentlemen, we are this close  to a Dino-Riders movie. If anything, it’s not the visuals, new dinosaurs or the Stephen Spielberg technique of keeping the primary carnivore hidden that excites me. It’s a reworked John Williams score of all things, that gives me some cautious optimism.

Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, and Judy Greer. It’ll be open for business on June 12, 2015. Colin Trevorrow directs.

  1. I have to admit, that I was very apprehensive at first about some of the ideas used in this film, like the genetically modified dinos and trained raptors. But thinking on it some more, I’ve realized that if you take into consideration where we left off in JP3, this is very likely the logical conclusion of what humanity would have done with the technology. It may be a bit jarring at first, but it makes a lot of sense considering today’s scientific trends.

Yip, responded to you although I’m sure you got quite a few emails back. I found the Bedford Center as well, didn’t realize it was on the other side of JHB. Should be a laugh driving home with my wife after the movie

She will be leaning toward me mostly, so you would be safe if you happen to sit next/close to her. But I think I would need to get 8 of these for the people sitting around her O_o

I dunno man. I don’t think I can bring myself to see this. Also, didn’t they learn from the first 3 movies? DONT MAKE DINOSAURS! THEY WILL EAT YOU!

Must say though, the rework of the original score at the end of the trailer did bring much feels.

I’m super stoked for this. When I heard news of genetically modded dinos and them being trained as well I thought it would be teribad. However this trailer is making me sit up and pay attention.

This may well be the next Jurassic Movie I’ve been waiting for since number 1!
