Monsters Inc 3D moves up a month

There are plenty of movies out there, upcoming spectacles with big budgets, that are currently doing reshoots, playing the delay game. Films such as Gangster Squad, for politically correct reasons, or GI Joe Retaliation, which felt the need to include some more Magic Mike.

One upcoming that isn’t playing that game however, is the 3D re-release of Monster’s Inc, which is moving ahead of schedule, not down.

Originally scheduled for a January release next year, Monsters Inc will instead arrive in a 3D December, hitting a key segment of the movie-going holiday audience. That also narrows the gap down for Pixar releases, as another 3D re-release from them, Finding Nemo, splashes in shortly afterwards, leaving the Monsters University prequel more exposure for its June release.

That’s a whole lot of Pixar over the next couple of months. Not that I’m complaining, mind you.
