Here’s some fresh gameplay footage from Assassin’s Creed 3 out of comic-con. Ok, maybe not that fresh; it’s essentially the footage we saw from E3, but now in this stealth-centric gameplay demonstration you’ll be walk through with narration by Assassin’s Creed III creative director Alexander Hutchinson. We get to see the city of Boston – and some of the new approaches, attacks and tools in our Assassin’s Toolkit.
I’m really actually rather impressed at how much is new and different – and I’m incredibly glad that Ubisoft isn’t just retreading the same gameplay from previous games, but seems to have still kept its essence by blending in familiar elements. I still think it’s a little ludicrous that nobody seems to notice the hooded Connor – despite the fact that he sticks out like a sore thumb.
Still – the game’s shaping up to be an incredible experience; one you’ll be able to have yourself in October. Oh – unless you’re a Pc gamer. That version’s been delayed – but Ubisoft says you’ll have it before Christmas.
In related news – it seems that Assassin’s Creed III will be getting a new multiplayer mode that will allow between two and four players to team up online and take part in “sequence based” assassination missions – with 25 sequences of increasing difficulty and time constraints. Horde mode, basically.
