Avatars Getting COG and Locust Armor

One of the first thoughts that I had when I first saw the NXE avatars was that it would be awesome to be able to download Gears of War or Halo’s Spartan armor and suit your little mini-me up.

The guys from Epic Games have now come out and finally shown off the avatar armor that will be coming to the dashboard soon. The armor will come in two flavors, Locust and COG.

We still don’t know what kind of price in MS points we are going to be looking at to get this sort of thing but don’t think that it will be free. You see, on Xbox Live Microsoft goes against all logic and actually charges you to promote their products. It’s kind of like paying Coca-Cola to brand your car with there logos.

There is one thing that really bothers me about the Gears of War armor though. What good is the armor if you won’t be able to chainsaw everyone else’s Avatars in half?
