Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry will be sleazing up PS4 and Switch

Released all the way back in 2018 for PC and meant as a reboot of sorts for the popular 1987 adventure game series, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry was kind of a…well, let’s just say it was a Leisure Suit Larry game. Irreverent, cynical, crass, misogynistic, the game received generally positive reviews with many praising the sardonic humour of the game as well as a return to class point and click adventure games. It was an intentional throwback to the ’80s, evoking classic point and click adventure game puzzles and gameplay for an updated and modern setting. What started out as a parody of adventure games at the time hasn’t…well, I don’t know how well the core concept has aged for the year 2019. It’s about a dork trying do the sex thing with women pulled straight off of one of those horny websites. The latest release it was a fine adventure game and a great homage to similar titles in the genre, but with wildly problematic themes.

And now it’ll be be bringing those themes straight to your Switch and PS4! According to Shack News Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry will be arriving digitally on current gen consoles in Q2 2019 with a $39.99 price tag. Oddly enough, it seems the game won’t be launching on Xbox One. Even more interesting is that physical copies of the game will be available in certain countries like Switzerland, Germany and Austria, with no word on if these copies are headed outside of Europe. In any case, point and click adventure games are a genre that is a perfect fit for the Switch and it will be interesting to see how the controls will be adapted for the PS4. So get ready for those good ol’ penis jokes either on the move or comfortably on your couch.
