Xbox Live Is Back And Broken

It really, and I mean really sucked that of all the days that Microsoft could have chosen to have a full day of Xbox Live downtime, they happened to choose the day that we all got to stay home from work.

So the best part of this whole deal, is that when Xbox Live came back online, it came with some new features. Features like disappearing XBLA games on the marketplace (Sega Vintage Collection), issues downloading new games like Magic the Gathering and making some redeemable codes not work.

I also had issues last night with Xbox Live disconnecting randomly here and there as well, but it seemed to stabilise, and hopefully everything will be sorted soon. Microsoft hopes so too, as the following is up on the Xbox Live support page:

“Users may experience difficulties when attempting to use Marketplace and/or making purchases. We are aware of the problem and working to resolve the technical issues. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.”

Anyone else had any other problems not mentioned here? Remember, sharing is caring. Group hug!

  1. What was the downtime for? I was expecting to come back to a new update and maybe Last.fm, Facebook and Twitter updates but its seems they took it down to quickly run a Vista Service Pack. :pinch:
