Do what needs to be done in the new trailer for LOCKE

Picture this scenario: Tom Hardy, alone in a car, talking to people on a Bluetooth headset. Sounds… fascinating? I guess? Well I’ve pretty much just summed up what I know about Locke, the new film from Stephen Knight.

Locke – Tom Hardy

Now, it’s going to look like the start of the trailer is a BMW ad, but it’s more than just product placement. Billed as a Thriller Action Drama, Locke takes us on a claustrophobic ride with Tom Hardy and his accent in a “totally unique”, “stunning”, “nail biting”, “Sundance-buzzword” filled movie. Seriously, what’s with me and picking all the high-brow, artsy trailers to watch?

LOCKE is the story of one man’s life unraveling in a tension-fuelled ninety minute race against time. Ivan Locke has the perfect family, his dream job, and tomorrow should be the crowning moment of his career. But one phone call will force him to make a decision that will put it all on the line.

Starring Tom Hardy, BMW, and the voices of Ruth Wilson, Andrew Scott, Olivia Colman, Tom Holland, Ben Daniels, Danny Webb, Alice Lowe, Bill Milner, Lee Ross, Silas Carson and Kirsty Dillon, Locke will be driving into UK cinemas on April 18.

This looks interesting. No hint on what to expect, but I like the feeling the trailer puts across.

I love trailers that grab your attention but don’t give away the entire plot. This is definitely on my watchlist
