This new trailer for THE WALK will give you vertigo

I never suffered from vertigo as a child. I would launch myself off anything high enough to cause my parents to flinch just, well, because. Then I went on a road trip and ended up bungee jumping 217 meters into nooooothingnesss aaaaaand faaaaallliiiiing. Sorry, my palms are wetter than a Scottish 80’s soft-rock band right now. And based on that memory, The Walk is definitely a movie that I will have to wear towel gloves to (patent pending).

Coming from veteran director Robert Zemeckis – who helmed Back to the Future and gave us all those unreal expectations of what 2015 would bring –  The Walk stars the very talented Joseph Gordon-Levitt as real life high-wire artist Philippe Petit, a Frenchman who broke the law and walked a wire between the Twin Towers. Just watching the trailer on my laptop freaked me out so I am going to have to make sure I get to the IMAX to watch it in 3D!

The Walk is the true story of a young dreamer, Philippe Petit, and a band of unlikely recruits who together achieve the impossible: an illegal wire walk in the immense void between the World Trade Center towers. With little more than nerve and blind ambition, Petit and his ragtag crew overcome daunting physical obstacles, betrayals, countless close calls and overwhelming odds to beat the system and execute their mad plan.

The Walk also stars Ben Kingsley, Charlotte Le Bon, and James Badge Dale.
