PES 18 is out this week, and according to reports it’s possibly the finest entry in the series. For fans of the beautiful game, it’s very likely the best digital recreation of the sport. I’m sure many footie fans will be delighted with the game when it’s out on Friday. To piss on the parade a little though, EA’s released a FIFA 18 demo for you to try today.
It’s coming today on Xbox One, Ps4 and PC, and allows you to preview the game’s single player story mode which continues The Journey. You can also play Kick Off mode with a selection of teams, on a few stadiums.
These are the teams in the demo:
- Manchester United
- Manchester City
- Real Madrid CF
- Atlético de Madrid
- Juventus F.C.
- FC Bayern Munich
- Paris Saint-Germain F.C.
- LA Galaxy
- Toronto FC
- Boca Juniors
- C.D. Guadalajara
- Vissel Kobe
These are the available stadiums.
- Santiago Bernabéu
- La Bombonera
- StubHub Center
- King Fahd Stadium
It looks pretty good. This year there’s apparently quite a big focus on improving where it matters most: pure gameplay. Whether or not it’ll beat PES in that arena this year remains to be seen. The game is also coming to the Switch, though a few concessions had to be made. There doesn’t seem to be a demo on the way for that version.

“For those who just don’t like P$ES…”. Not sure if that was intentional, but well played! xD
