Hey now hardcore Command and Conquer fan, don’t looks so glum. Now, while the past few C&C games may have behaved like drunk, abusive boyfriends, those days seem to be over now.
We’ve got a brand new C&C game set in the Generals universe coming up soon, and if that wasn’t enough, you can expect to be nostalgia-thrilled once the free to play C&C Tiberium Alliances hits the web next year.
The browser and mobile platform game will be a free to play MMO strategy game, according to EA, and goes into beta today. Developed by Phenomic, who you might remember as the team behind games such as BattleForge and another free to play title, Lord of Ultima, this C&C game will take place in the Tiberium universe.
From the EA press release:
Official summary from EA: “The all new free-to-play, MMO strategy game is set in the Command & Conquer Tiberium universe. In the quest for world domination, players must choose their friends wisely and foster strategic alliances as they fight against each other and hordes of mutant enemies.”
Lets hope that this browser-friendly title can recapture some of that classic C&C glory that was so horribly ruined in the last game.
