Aaron Greenberg, 360 Product Manager, has come out and defended the cost of the new 120Gb HDD. Saying that there are many reasons for it to cost so much more than your typical 120Gb SATA drive. Some of the things he mentions is
- Extra Testing Required
- Making it completely plug and play
- Extra spec reports from the suppliers…
Not sure if any of that makes sense really but there you have it…. I don’t think this makes much difference to anyone in South Africa in the near future though since we can’t afford to download HDTV’s thanks to Telkom.
