Home Beta Hands On

1 min read

The PlayStation Universe site as a nice indepth review of the upcoming PlayStation Home…

Home still has lots of exciting features yet to come, but even now it’s great fun to play around in. Home will surely be a defining factor in the console war, and we’re certainly looking forward to its official launch this October.

As you can see from the quote above they seem very excited about it and expect it to really add to the PS3’s armoury…

The one part of the review that really caught my eye was

When Home first booted up, after logging into our appropriate server, we were given the option to create our character. First came the simple choices – male or female, skin color, and so on. Next came shaping our character’s nose, eyes, ears, mouth, chin, and everything possible in-between. Then the accessories came, and we spent even more time choosing between major and minor items.

That sounds really really boring :), sorry but this sort of thing does not interest me at all, however looking at the millions millions of people who are playing Second Life and The Sims it is obvious that there are a lot of people out there who are interested in this…

The best thing I have seen about Home is the trophy room but I haven’t heard much more about that since the original press release.
