That's What You Get – Early Celebration Fail

In any form of competition, it’s always very important to keep your eyes on the prize until the very last moment, no matter what, to ensure victory.

The dude in this video playing the Sagat character in a Street Fighter IV tournament learnt this lesson the very hard way when he started celebrating a little too early, thinking that the outcome was set in stone.

To give you a quick explanation, the guy playing the C.Viper (female) character tries his Ultra combo at the end of the third round in a last and desperate attempt to survive the round. When it is blocked, becoming useless, the Sagat (male) character sees that his opponent messed it up, so he unleashes an Ultra of his own to finish the job.

But then he gets a nasty surprise, more after the jump.

Now usually, when you have missed an Ultra combo and the other opponent still has his he has a moment of opportunity to use his back and punish you for it, and it does usually end in the demise of the one who let it out first.

Thing is, the Sagat character stood up and started celebrating, unaware of the fact that his combo had completely missed. The C.Viper player, realising what had just happened, quickly sits down and finishes off the Sagat, leaving the player bewildered as to how his celebration dance just ended his part in the tournament.

Classic.
