Somehow I get the feeling that for most of you, that after reading that headline the only reason you’re even bothering to read this text is because you’re still waiting for the new red band trailer for Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston’s R-Rated comedy to buffer. As soon as that little grey bar has moved a sufficient distance though, you’re probably going to forget all about me and my pesky words.

Ah, you fell for the old “Hint at hot female sexy time and instead hit them with pasty man butt” gag! Suckers.

In all seriousness though (well as serious as you can get about a comedy involving a giant talking fly), Paul Rudd is a bit hit and miss for me. His bone dry comedy delivery sometimes falls very flat whereas it just zings at others, and based on this trailer it’s not certain which Rudd has shown up to the party. He is being directed by David Wain, with whom he also did the quite funny The Ten, which bodes well.

I always felt that Jennifer Aniston was the least naturally funny of the Friends, and since then she hasn’t done to much to dissuade me of that opinion. Then came her last performance in Horrible Bosses, which was not only hilarious but also unexpectedly sexy. Here’s hoping that she can channel that again. And by “channel” I mean “wear that tiny white doctor’s coat”.

Here’s the official tagline for the movie:

Rattled by sudden unemployment, a Manhattan couple surveys alternative living options, ultimately deciding to experiment with living on a rural commune where free love rules.

Role Models was just shy of being a classic and after Horrible Bosses I’m keen to see what Aniston does next in this genre.

I’ll disagree on that point. Aniston always struck me as the most naturally comedic of the Friends bunch. Best of the lot for me, her timing and reactions were always spot on.

    Also, she’s hot

I dunno, to me she always seemed to be the straight man to the rest of the bunch’s goofball.
