As funny as Jason Segel is, I don’t think I’ll ever forgive him for the totally unnecessary dudity in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. (I still wake up screaming sometimes.) So I was understandably filled with a silent dread when I realized that Segel was once again teaming up with FSM director Nicholas Stoller for his next comedy, The Five Year Engagement
But judging by how hilarious – and penis free – this NSFW trailer is though, he may just finally be making amends. Throwing in the always lovely Emma Blunt certainly won’t hurt his chances either.
I have no idea what Emily Blunt means with all those hand movements at the end there, but damn I am certainly motivated to find out now!
Synopsis:
The director and writer/star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall reteam for the irreverent comedy The Five-Year Engagement. Beginning where most romantic comedies end, the new film from director Nicholas Stoller, producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) and Rodney Rothman (Get Him to the Greek) looks at what happens when an engaged couple, Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle. The film was written by Segel and Stoller.
