Welcome to The Extras! A daily dose of all the smaller movie related news, clips and just plain cool stuff that you might have missed!

There is ALOT of big movies coming out this year. Now you may think I just committed one of the most grievous spelling mistakes around, but in actual fact, I’ve just coined a new collective noun. An “alot” of movies is when there are so many blockbusters being released closely together that you just lose your mind, beginning with your grammatical skills. And thanks to this supercut from ScreenRant, you can now see the trailer for all 29 (Yes, 29!) US summer releases:

JoBlo asks Who Should Play Ant-Man in Edgar Wright’s tease-filled Marvel movie? “Nathan Fillion!”, I scream back! Oh and cast Morena Baccarin as The Wasp while you’re at it!

Did you know that Steven Spielberg was working on a Ghost in the Shell movie? I know, right. FilmSchoolRejects takes a look at that and 8 More Promised Movies That Were Never Made. Damn you Microsoft, I will never forgive you for not making Halo.

In celebration of James Bond’s golden anniversary this year, CableTV.Com have put together this amazing infographic on the last 50 years of Bond Girls. Who’s your favourite? Ursula Andress, Lana Wood and Maud Adams have always shaken not stirred my martini.

He’s been flirting around the role, but now it’s official that Michael Douglas will be joining Robert De Niro for Last Vegas, which is sort of like The Hangover meets Coccoon, only no aliens, just old people trying to be young.

According the analysis of US disaster experts, Kinetic Analysis Corp, the Avengers inflicted $160 billion worth of damage on Manhattan in their final battle. In comparison 9/11 cost about $83 billion, Hurricane Katrina $90 billion and the Japanese tsunami $122 billion. Shame on you, Avengers. Shame on you.

Speaking of Avengers, remember this clip? We featured it a short while ago. At the time it just sounded like Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans just sitting around talking rubbish, but pay careful attention to what Hemsworth said around the 0:30 mark

The sneaky statuesque bastard!

The Smurfs 2 gets a logo image which *SHOCK HORROR* says “The Smurfs 2” and work has begun on the script for The Smurfs 3, which to me, sounds a bit like counting your blue Belgian dwarf creatures before they’ve hatched. (Hey, Smurfette could lay eggs)

The viral marketing for The Amazing Spider-Man continues as the fake website for Oscorp Industries is now online. Currently there is literally nothing to do there except stare at the logo, but many are speculating that this will tie in somehow with the Oscorp badges that were handed out Comic-Con last year for some sort of ARG.

Jaume Collet-Serra will be directing Liam Neeson’s Non-Stop, which, if you’ll recall, is about Neeson punching people in the face. On a plane. If you need to know more than that, then quite frankly I’m not sure we have the same taste in movies.

Right now, just most of the free world’s TV watching population, I am thoroughly hooked on Game of Thrones. And like any viewer will tell you, there are very few things in life as purely enjoyable as watching Joffrey getting slapped. Well, watching a supercut of a whole bunch of other people getting slapped in movies certainly comes a close second though.

Did you ever want to get your grimy little fanboy paws on the Tumbler and Batpod aka Batmobile and Batcycle from Chris Nolan’s Batman trilogy? Well now you can! If you live in USA, that is. Warner Bros are taking the tank-like car and flipping motorcycle on a cross-country tour of America from May to July. You can get all the info over at www.tumblertour.com as well as a few pics of the vehicles.

HitFix has a look at 15 Breakout Stars of Summer. They even got a future Robocop in that mix.

And we end on today on some WTF hilarity. Ever wanted to watch Michael Bay’s Transformers, but just didn’t have the time? Well, thanks to the power of video game engines, now you see a one minute long version called Transformers in a nutshell!

And I’m out! And thanks to that ridiculous clip I am more than likely going to be spending my entire weekend telling complete strangers how I like rotund derriers and I cannot speak falsely, and the other males sibling cannot disagree with my statement.
