Want to know what the number one rule of a Western film is? It’s not that every saloon has to have a pack of ‘ornery varmints inside playing poker, nosirree. It’s that every single film in that genre is obligated to have an old school steam engine train make an appearance of some kind.

Gore Verbinski’s big budget flick starring the iconic vigilante cowboy and his trusty partner, Tonto has been chugging away for several months now, with very little footage being seen of what Verbinski has been doing with all that cash. And while I imagined him jumping into a vault of single dollar bills, it looks like he’s been setting up one elaborate stunt with it instead.

Be aware, there could be some spoilers present in these pics, as we have no idea which scene they fall into, or the context in which they play a part.

HI-HO, SPOILERS AWAY!

I TOLD YOU, I DON’T SPOILER TO KILL. I WANT A SPOILER BULLET TO BE A SYMBOL OF JUSTICE.

DO YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN MOULD SOME SPOILERS FOR ME?

YOU ARE ALONE NOW, KEMOSABE. YOU ARE LONE SPOILER.

Thanks to PerezHilton.com and ComicBookMovie.com, we’ve got some snapshots of Johnny Depps’ Tonto and Arnie Hammer in his Lone Ranger guise getting up to all sorts of locomotive lunacy, with a stuntman here and there also making an appearance.

The bulk of the principal production has wrapped up here, with only some post-editing and special effects left to do,and of course, to kick that marketing campaign into overdrive.

Look for proper trailers, posters and material to most likely make a debut, when the holiday glut of films arrive.

The Lone Ranger is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

This could go two ways: either Pirates of the Caribbean or Alice In Wonderland…
