The Mandarin to reappear in "secret" Marvel project?

mandarin-ledeWe may be seeing more of The Mandarin very soon in a new super secret Marvel project. According to an interview with the Belfast Telegraph (via Slashfilm), Kingsley claims to have worked on some sort of project with the same team he had worked with on Iron Man 3, saying:

It’s a secret Marvel project. I’m not allowed to say any more, you’re going to have to wait and see… I was with many members of the crew that were involved in Iron Man 3. It was lovely to see them again… I think they have enormous taste as creative artists. There’s nothing lazy or gratuitous about their work. They are at the top of their game, and they’re great company to keep.

It’s very difficult to upstage Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man, but if anyone has got close, it’s Ben Kingsley’s brilliant version of The Mandarin in Iron Man 3. It would have been all right leaving him as a once-off character, but it’s difficult not to speculate over what we may see in the future, with the most likely being a Marvel One-Shot short, much like those previously released on the Blu-Rays of Marvel movies. Of course, there are other possibilities, such as a cameo on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or another full film project, but whichever it is, it means more Mandarin.

Urgh…tell me about it. Money is a bit tight after having had to go to the dentist and getting my bakkie serviced…which require new shocks and a waterpump. I feel rather shafted.

I came late to the table and watched Iron Man 3 Tuesday night and was actually quite disappointed in that movie. I thought the Mandarin that i know of the cartoons and comics would have been in but he was quite different. Didnt like the enemies in Iron Man 3. The movie somehow felt rushed as well and to see this article on the Mandarin kinda does nothing for me. Am i the only one that thinks this way?
