I hope you’ve been staying classy, because you’re in for a treat today. There are two new trailers to help us get our hopes up about Anchorman 2 (or Anchorman: The Legend Continues). It all looks very silly, which means it’s probably exactly what we were looking for in a sequel to what was a Very Serious Film. Take a look at these trailers, and put aside all food and beverages beforehand (for your monitor’s safety).

The first trailer gets us up to speed (or crack) on what Ron Burgundy and the gang have been up to since the events of the last film, and how much they’ve all grown as people. Which is not at all.

The second gives some more detail about the story, seeing them arrive in New York to join the GNN news network and its progressive team, which they have some trouble processing.

Now that we all have Journey stuck in our heads, we can maybe start actually looking  forward to this one. I had my reservations, but this looks much better than expected, notwithstanding the interesting cameos. Of course, they could just have pulled that old trick of putting the only bits of the movie that are actually funny in the trailers. If this movie isn’t good, I swear I will take their mothers out for a nice seafood dinner and never call them again.

Milk was a bad choice! So keen for this movie. I also hope this sequel will be actually worth it.
