New images and a turbocharged synopsis for MAD MAX: FURY ROAD ride into town

For a long, long time, we’ve had to write about the latest Mad Max film with only one image available for our stories. That makes this job kinda difficult, and has left us a tad bit uninspired about a movie that is throwing around odd concepts such as Word Burgers and the mythical land of ‘Stralia.

Today, that all changes, as Mad Max: Fury Road is shedding more details than a fat guy shedding pounds on an episode of The Biggest Loser.George Miller’s latest Mad Max film has gotten the Entertainment Weekly special, in which all those details were indeed dropped. First off, a ton of new images showing Max in action and Charlize Theron being a badass:

And finally, a proper synopsis for the new Raggedy Man adventures:

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is the fourth film of George Miller‘s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller. The post-apocalyptic action film is set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.

Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order… There’s Max (played by TOM HARDY from The Dark Knight Rises), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos.

And… Furiosa (played by CHARLIZE THERON from Prometheus), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

Needs more Word Burgers. Mad Max: Fury Road has been in development for possibly too damn long now, but it looks like the finish line is finally within reach. The film stars Riley Keough, Zoe Kravitz, Courtney Eaton, Rosei Huntington-Whiteley, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, and Abbey Lee Kershaw. It’s scheduled for a May 15 2015 release.

It gets me every time. It’s like billing Al Pacino as “AL PACINO from Adam Sandler’s Jack and Jill”

The skinny, tattooed guy with the scarred lips and dark painted eyes is actually Nicholas Hoult.
