Who would win in a fight, Captain America or Superman? Well according to the upcoming shifted release date for Batman V Superman: Not In The Face, the star-spangled Avenger is most likely to kick some Man Of Steel ass. The Superman sequel was originally scheduled to go head to head with the third Captain America movie in May 2016. That ain’t happening no more.
In fact, Batman v Superman will instead arrive on March 25 that year, kicking off the blockbuster season a little bit early. That’s a bit of a surprise move, as March isn’t exactly considered the best month to launch a big movie in. Still, this could work out in DC and Warner Bros favour, as the March 2016 window has zero competition for that meeting between the worlds finest.
Taking a page out of the Marvel book however, the WB has also revealed the dates for the next nine movies that they have planned to spin out and create their own cinematic universe with. Check ’em out:

- Untitled WB Event Film – November 20, 2020
Well, you can’t deny that WB is being plenty ambitious with a line-up like that. So which films are next then? After Batman v Superman, director Zack Snyder moves on to Justice League, which could be the first @event@ film on that list which has a release date of November, 2018. There are some reports that those event films are not DC Comics related at all, but rather the two sequels to upcoming Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, as those dates align perfectly with the November 18, 2016 release date of the first installment in the trilogy.
And if even if those are Harry Potter movies, you still have all those other DC characters who could also be getting their own movies, such as Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash and a new Green Lantern. It’s a massive schedule that Warner Bros has revealed. Should be interesting to see what they fill those gaps with.
