HBO are looking ready to release one of the more ambitious TV shows of the year, with their TV adaptation of Michael Crichton’s Westworld. We’ve already seen a promising teaser trailer of the series and been having bits of news regular drop on the series in the past few months (here and here). So it seems the Westworld hype train is getting in full motion ahead of its release, on October 2nd.
While, its time to stoke some more coals into that hype train, as HBO has just released a host of new images of the show, which reveal quite a lot about the look that we can expect for the series. Needless to say, the production values are looking great, with solid art direction and costume. And with the stellar cast already behind it, it is certainly looking like it is going to be an epic series. We’ve seen some shots of the cast already, but these images give us a first look at Rodrigo Santoro and Sidse Babett Knudsen.
Westworld is being directed by Jonathan Nolan, brother of Christopher Nolan and regular co-writer of his movies, so there is also high expectations on the script for this show if his past material is anything to go by.
It’s already been a great year for TV with Stranger Things, Outcast been released to fantastic reviews and MacGyver still on its way. I’m kidding about that last one okay, so not all TV shows have been good this year.
Here’s the official synopsis for Westworld:
