If there’s one constant in Pokémon games, besides the fact that Nurse Joy never returns my phone calls, it’s fossils. Fossil Pokémon to be exact. Collecting one of those rare bits of preserved DNA is a recurring tradition in every Pokémon game. And it looks like Jigglypuff Park just got two new additions.
Your first revived ancient Pokémon is Tyrunt. By choosing the Jaw Fossil, you’ll get this little fella, who can evolve into the rather kickass Rock/Dragon type Tyrantrum. Pokedex descriptions from Pokémon.com!
It is believed that Tyrunt is over 100 million years old. The Pokemon is known to be a bit selfish, and will throw a fit when it doesn’t like something.
Tyrantrum’s greatest weapon is its jaws, which can shred thick metal plates as if they were paper.
Next, if you’re more of a herbivore fan, you’ve got Amaura. Obtained via the Sail Fossil, Amaura is a Rock/Ice type that can evolve into Aurorus.
Like Tyrunt, Amaura is believed to be 100 million years old.
Aurorus can also blast air to form a wall of ice to protect her from attacks.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go play god and start a theme park filled with pissed off revived prehistoric Pokémon and put it on a remote island where nothing can possibly go wrong. Nope, nothing at all.

I once saw a 35 year old man get into a fight with over zealous teenagers at church trying to convince him Pokémon is from the devil’s loins. I kid you not.

(In a Trevor voice)
Those teenagers need to play more games! What’s wrong with them? How can they believe that pokemon could ever be from the devil’s loins….? Only dub step and Lindsay Lohen come from the Devil’s spurt cannon! The rest…? They come from Gabriel and Michael’s sensual tiny harps….
