Yep you read right.
Valve’s Gabe Newell has promised 3 new big surprises in the next 12 months. Here’s what he had to say to PC Gamer:
“I can guarantee you people are going to be surprised at stuff we do. That isn’t going to stop any time soon,” the Valve boss told PC Gamer. “I’m just laughing because… people will be shocked again.”
“We have three pretty big surprises in the next 12 months at least,” he affirmed.
Now we know Portal 2 is coming, and we suspect Half Life 2: Episode 3 is on the horizon. What else has Valve got in store for us? Hmmm…makes one think…

i don’t think they’re going to make a HL2:Ep3. The Source Engine is starting to show it’s age. I suspect that they’re going to have a brand new tech (Source 2?) and skip HL2:Ep3 and go straight to HL3. That’s why they’ve been taking so long, they’re working on a full new title.

Dont forget about them recently hiring Icefrog (The most current developer of DOTA) and trying to trademark the name “DOTA”. but doubt that’ll be done within 12 months, but then again, it’s not like they need to think too long about how it will work.

Portal Kombat could possibly be better than HL3. Ground breaking.

Personally, I would prefer it if they complete Episode 3…and then release Half Life 3. I mean they already announced Eps 3, so why change it?
They updated the engine for Eps 2, so, why not for Eps 3?
