Castlevania games (particularly Symphony of the Night) hold a special place in my heart, barring the godawful 3D abominations that were Castlevania and Legacy of Darkness on N64. Thankfully, Kojima Production and MercurySteam’s Lords of Shadow looks like it’s making up for the 3D sins of previous games.
The reboot puts you in the shoes of Gabriel Belmont, the whip-toting, demon-slaying holy-knight and the English version will feature a host of celebrity voice talent, including Robert Carlyle, Natasha McElhone and Patrick Stewart. the Japanese version though includes typically over-the-top, melodramatic voice acting which you can hear in the trailer after the jump. The game, with it’s inclusion of Shadow of the Colossus inspired bosses looks fantastic.
It’ll be available next year on PS3 and Xbox 360.

I’ve always found that I find the Japanese acting better… although it could just be because I have no clue what they are saying.
