Microsoft unveil ReCore– a new IP

Recore

Straight up after Halo, we have what looks like a brand new IP for the Xbox One. Who is this female protagonist, and who is her big, robotic companion? Also, why are these other robots trying to kill them in this gorgeous desert landscape?

The head honcho, Phil Spencer, has now taken the stage to talk about this new IP. It’s called Recore – an exclusive, new first-party title for Xbox One. It looks good, but there isn’t much information on it just yet.

What is big news right now though, is the announcement of backward compatibility on the Xbox One. That’s right, moving forward, gamers can now play Xbox 360 games on their current gen consoles. What’s that, Mass Effect? Yes, I foresee many people replaying that.

Oh, the best part? They’re available on the market, and if I heard correctly, you won’t be charged for the games you already own. Well played Xbox… well played… the crowd seems pretty darn chuffed!

Looks interesting, something new and hopefully original. Hmmm, all of a sudden I’m not too bummed about getting an Xbox One anymore

I read somewhere this game being described as a mix between Star Wars and Wall-E, think that’s spot on! Looks great!
