When you need to find a way out of the jungle, get a Captain to take charge. Continuing its magic formula of raising b-list superheroes into A-list box office money machines, Captain America is back to return trust to the Marvel formula.

Ratchet vs Clank made a fair 4th place debut, while local film Free State entered at a disappointing 8th. But it is the first local film to also be co-released in India, so maybe it will do better there. The Werner Herzog history biopic Queen of the Desert arrived at 9th, so that’s a death knell.

Barbershop 3 dropped a big 3 spots from its debut last week, and Batman vs. Superman crashed 3 spots to 7th, while Kung Fu Panda 3 also went down 3 spots, now at the chart precipice of 10th.

Four movies left the charts: My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, Criminal, Demolition and High Strung.
