Right now, Captain America: Civil War is starting to sound more like a sneaky Avengers sequel, thanks to the plethora of guest capes popping up in it. With Iron Man, Hawkeye and various other heroes throwing down, you just know that the film is going to lead up to something massive.
And according to the good captain himself, the third movie is pretty much setting the field up for the “real battle” that’ll take place across the Avenger: Infinity War films. As Evans explained to Joblo:
It’s to jump off into the next Avengers, Infinity War, so Cap 3 is going to be the set-up of the real battle, so yea, there are a lot of people. There are a lot of people in Cap 3.
There’s one other addition to the film that’s managed to escape the spotlight. Former hobbit and Ali G homie Martin Freeman has joined the cast, in an unspecified role that’ll most likely require his skill at being concerned and furrowing his brow.
Freeman joins a cast that is…freakin’ huge at this point. That includes Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton),Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie (Falcon),Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Chadwick Boseman’s debut appearance as the Black Panther, Daniel Bruhl as Baron Zemo and the uncast Spider-Man.
But if the Russo Brothers can handle an ensemble cast of this size, then that should put plenty of faith in fans towards their work in the Avengers sequels. Should be interesting.

Hmmmm… Is it just me or is Andrew Garfield the perfect Spiderman to emulate for the next “younger” Spidey coming along? Avengers 2 was very busy for me personally, loved it but there was so much character juggling in the final 3rd that it did get a bit too busy for a while. Did I mention I loved it?
