BIFF! BAM! POW! The original Dynamic Duo will soon be back on your screen, but they will be even more… animated than you remember. Announced last year, Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders sees Adam West and Burt Ward, the actors who originally played Batman and Robin in the lovably goofy 1960’s Batman TV series, reprise their iconic roles.

But as we saw in the awesome announcement trailer, they won’t actually be scaling buildings and tossing shark repellant themselves though (with West being 87 years old, that would have been awkward) but just lending their voices to the upcoming animated feature. Return of the Caped Crusaders will see Batman and Robin face off against “unholy alliance” of classic villains the Joker, the Penguin the Riddler, and Catwoman (voiced by Julie Newmar who also reprises her original role) all over Gotham City. And apparently in space as well – got to love the screwball 60’s!

And now we can get a proper glimpse of all of that silly Bat-action in the first full trailer for the new movie below.

“It’s back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman’s most fiendish foes – Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman. This time, the four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City. It’s a truly fantastic adventure that will pit good against evil, good against good, evil against evil … and feature two words that exponentially raise the stakes for both sides: Replicator Ray. Holy Multiplication Tables!”

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders will be released on VOD on 11 October and Blu Ray on 1 November.
