There’s not much more that can be said about Wreck-It Ralph. By now, everyone knows the story, the characters, and the cameos. It’s out soon, and of course, the marketing is churning out more material than Pac-Man after he binge-eats way too many of those pebbles.
It’s a family friendly movie with the whole “Be true to yourself” end of the schtick pointed at the kids, but it’s that inclusion of gaming references and cameos that is going to hook the now massive gaming culture into theaters, as Disney releases one more trailer with tons of brand new footage inside of it.
I’ve been sold on this film since that first teaser poster respawned, and I can’t wait to go see it, even if it means sharing a theater with 200 hyper-energetic children hopped up on cinema cola.
Wreck-It Ralph is out next month, and stars the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Alan Tudyk, Ed O’Neill, Mindy Kaling and Adam Carolla, with Rich Moore directing.
