There is a lot of hype surrounding the next season of Mr Robot and after the first one was so compelling and addictive who can blame audiences. And for those who have been waiting patiently anxiously – we have some good news. According to The Hollywood Reporter the second season will now contain 12 episodes over the initial planned 10, so you will be getting even more of the show this time around. And outside of the extra episodes, they are also planning an after show after the first season double header. So, if you were planning your watching session already, be sure to stock up on an extra 2 hours worth of snacks and cool drink, as you will most likely not be able to tear yourself away from it.
The show will kick off on July 13 with two back-to-back episodes followed by a live hour-long after show called Hacking Robot, which will allow fans and cast members to discuss the episode. No host has been announced for this show or details on how the format will work or even whether it will be a once off or weekly occurrence. It is a testament to the success of the first season though that the show is generating such interest and a need to kick start the new season with such a bang.
Most people will probably be frustrated that they won’t be able to binge-watch it straight away, but the discussions that will take place between episodes will probably make it all worth it. And if you are one of those people who just cannot waiting for July 13th to come soon enough (get a life, people), we have a special treat for you in the form of a second trailer (we can unfortunately not embed the video onto our page itself).
So, if you had any doubt that the show would be just as dark and intriguing as the first – that second trailer should ease your fears.
