Sacha Baron Cohen might be James Bond in his next film…

…Or at least a very thinly-veiled parody of the iconic spymaster. From Brit neighbourhood gangster, to an anti-semetic eastern European journalist, gay fashion icon and a dictator of note, Cohen has taken on wide variety of roles in his career.

But as a servant for the Queen, protecting England from whatever threats are present? That might be a bit of a stretch audiences to believe, which is why a satirical edge might make this the perfect vehicle for him.

The actor and writer has just sold a pitch to Paramount Studios, that will be based on “a James Bond-like spy forced to go on the run with his long-lost brother, a moronic soccer hooligan.”

It may only be one describing line, but if Cohen is going to pull a Van Damme and star as both the suave super-spy and the idiotic brother who worships overpaid athletes, then this could work, and provide a perfect platform for some signature slapstick.

Cohen will be working on the script with Phil Johnston, a scribe who turned in work for Cedar Rapids, Wreck-It Ralph and Nebraska.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
