With so many new super-hero movies on its way, it can be tough to keep up with all the new Superheroes that are gracing the movie screen – especially if you are not a comic book geek like Kervyn. Between DC’s planned cinematic universe, the Marvel cinematic universe and then the still separate Marvel X-Men universe (and then there is still all the TV shows) – it can certainly be overwhelming trying to keep up with it all.
That’s why we at The Movies want to make it easier for you to get up to speed with all the new characters so that you can impress all your friends when you go watch these movies with how much you know about each of the characters when they get all confused trying to put it all together. And who doesn’t want to be “a know it all” cool, right?
The next X-Men film, X-Men: Apocalypse will be introducing several new characters to cinema, who can all be seen in this below featurette. While Apocalypse is one of the biggest and oldest villains in the Marvel universe, due to the big scale of the villain, it hasn’t really been possible to bring him adequately to cinema – until now. Known as the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse (not wholly original), the villains support team includes Magneto, Storm, Angel and Psylocke, who we are introduced to in this clip.
The clip offers plenty of previously unseen footage, including sneak peeks at some of the big action set pieces we can expect from Apocalypse and his followers. The scale of the battles in this move are looking incredible and should make for a memorable film if they pull off battles of this scale.
And as promised to help you ease into this transition, the below videos should help you to catch up the backgrounds of some of these characters from the comic books. We do accept cheques, EFT and doughnuts as a form of thanks:
Personally, I don’t think May 27th can come soon enough. This is looking like an X-Men movie that could truly be of Apocalyptic proportions…
Okay – enough of the Apocalypse jokes. There is also a bonus picture of Psylocke to whet your appetite further on while I continue to get back to work on my time machine so I can watch all these cool movies sooner. The film is directed by Bryan Singer and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence,Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn and Lucas Till.
