Willem Dafoe sure has enjoyed a varied career and why not, the man is talented. We got to see him play bad guy Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s Spiderman and now Dafoe is switching sides to play good guy in DC’s Justice League. Production began last week on the movie but for now the studio is being very tight-lipped about the extent of Dafoe’s involvement. What we do know is that he will be portraying the role of good guy and that we will see him in both planned Justice League movies.
Chris Terrio wrote the screenplay for Justice League that brings Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) together to battle some of DC’s biggest villains. For now we cannot confirm who the villains are as the studio are being very secretive about this but as the internet seem to be guessing Darkseid looks to be the first choice here.
You already know that JK Simmons has been cast to play Commissioner Gordon, who do you think Dafoe is being set to play, or which character would you most like to see him as? That if you even like the news, let us know in the comments.
Justice League: Part One will hit theaters on Nov. 17, 2017, while Part Two is slated for release on June 14, 2019.
