The road to Wrestlemania is about to shift into top gear and pour on the pooooooooooower. There’s one final challenge before the showcase of the immortals kicks off, and this time it’s Smackdown LIVE that’s setting the stage. WWE Fastlane 2018 kicks off this Sunday, with an absolutely massive main event between not two, not three but six superstars.
It’s WWE Champion AJ Styles, drastically outnumbered as he faces the might of John Cena, Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin. At least I think John Cena is involved, as I don’t see him in the image above. As for the rest of the night? The United States Championship, Smackdown LIVE tag team belts and the Women’s Championship will all be contested.
Of course, it’s all about Cena, because the poor former champ is worried that he’ll be left off the Wrestlemania card this year. Oh shame. Just remember, we mustn’t dwell. No, not today. We can’t! Not on Rusev Manning Day! Here’s the full match card:
- WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. John Cena vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler (Six-Pack Challenge Match)
- SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The New Day
- SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Ruby Riott
- United States Champion Bobby Roode vs. Randy Orton
- Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev
- Becky Lynch and Naomi vs. Natalya and Carmella
Fastlane 2018 kicks its action into gear from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday. As usual, I’ll have all the results ready come Monday morning. As for my match predictions? I’m telling y’all now, we’ll see Cena win the main event, so that Wrestlemania has a triple-threat for the WWE Championship when Shinsuke Nakamura finishes off Rusev. I’d also wager easy money that Bobby Roode retains his title, the Bludgeon Bros. ambush the Usos and Ruby Riott pulls off a sneaky pin on Charlotte Flair.
I should make a bingo card for all these predictions, for Sunday.
