That’s right folks, on friday we are going to be treated to a brand new video of Gears of War 2. 1UP is pumping hype out about the video quite well stating that:
“1UP’s GameVideos will be the very first place online you’ll be able to see the footage, and we’ll be posting it in all of its HD glory. And trust us when we say you’re going to be blown away”
With 1UP making statements like that, I think it is safe to say that we are going to be treated to some really meaty stuff and not just a few teaser images or animations. With hype for Gears of War 2 starting so early in the year it’s safe to assume that gamers worldwide are going to be doing whatever is necessary to get their hands on this game on it’s release date. (Re-Emergence day?)
The video will be will be available on Friday from 10pm PST, which means that we should be able to check it out first thing on Saturday morning. I hope it’s as mind blowing as they are making it out to be.

Sigh, the amount of hours of my life I invested in Gears:). Safe to say…here we go again. I may avoid the early hype videos, though – there are too many games that need to be played between now and November to unnecessarily work myself up so early…

I’m excited to see if they will be able to top the Mad World Gears of War 1 trailer when the game is closer to completion. That was imo the greatest video game trailer that has ever been released. I still watch it sometimes on my 360, goosebumps every time!

Agreed. That trailer was amazing. In fact, I’ll go as so far as saying it may be the best trailer for “anything” I’ve ever seen. Pity it was false advertising and wasn’t a true reflection of the game. After watching that trailer, I was psyched for an emotional roller coaster and all I got instead was “eat sh*t and die”. 🙄
