Assassin's Creed II Getting Two Sets Of DLC Next Year

When I reviewed Assassin’s Creed II I was pleasantly surprised by the major changes made by Ubisoft Montreal over the previous title and couldn’t get enough of the game.

Unfortunately, it had enough of me and eventually decided to be all stupid and then like, end. I still have many side missions to complete but the real bread and butter of the game is it’s wonderful narrative about Ezio and his escapades.

I’m going to say this in two different ways because one way will contain spoilers for those who have not yet played/finished the game.

Short way: Two sets of DLC will be coming to Xbox Live and PSN, one in January and one in February. There is no price yet but the downloads will weigh in at around 1GB each, which is seriously rough on the bandwidth and HDD space.

Ok, now for the other (spoiler) version.

When you are nearing the end of the game you will know that Ezio loses a couple of years out of his memory. This seems to have been the plan for DLC from the start as the additional content should serve to fill in the blanks. The DLC may apparently take place before the time of the second game and could possibly be looking at explaining the connection between Altair and Ezio’s family.

The January release is named “Battle of Forli” and should take place in and around Forli (no indication if there will be new explorable areas) and the February release is titled Bonfire of the Vanities and will possibly take place in the previously locked areas of Florence.

Stay tuned for updates in the future. Kotaku has some interesting ideas and facts about the historic facts of the time so click through the link below if you want to give it a quick read.
