Batman goes corporate in the January Arkham Knight DLC

Batman-Inc

I’m still playing Batman Arkham Knight, my favourite game of 2015. And I’m not just saying that because I’m a huge Bat-nerd who lusts after Dark Knight leather motorcycle gear and has a bat-signal tattooed around his Bat-Cave…Actually, no wait, that’s exactly why I’m saying that. Batman Arkham Knight isn’t a game for everyone.

It’s fan service to the extreme, a power-trip which feeds into my delusion that I am the caped crusader. Just as soon as I get out of this intensive care unit and wreak vengeance on the Joker again. You can’t fool me, clown prince of crime. Your rugby player disguise won’t fool me! Anyway, I’ve played a lot of Arkham Knight, thanks to the steady trickle of content provided by my overpriced season pass which will help fund the GOTY edition that is inevitable.

This month, there’s another batch of content on the way. The Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #6 (sounds like an aftershave brand) hits consoles on January 29, and is currently live for any PC players who have managed to not hurl their rig through a wall because of the almost unplayable Arkham Knight build on that platform.

Previously known as the Community Challenge Pack, this update was based on fan feedback and resulted in maps being designed according to those requests. Full list of features below.

Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #6 Includes:

Predator

  • Wayne Manor Main Hall (Batman: Arkham City)
  • Batcave (Batman: Arkham City)
  • Sanatorium, Medical Facility (Batman: Arkham Asylum)

Combat

  • Iceberg Lounge (Batman: Arkham City)
  • Crime Alley (Batman: Arkham Knight)
  • Monarch Theatre (Batman: Arkham City)

There’s also some new threads to download. I’m quite fond of the Batman Inc. costume, which was born out of the idea of a bigger Batman presence in the comics. Let me explain (Editors note: PLEASE KILL ME NOW HE WON’T SHUT UP ABOUT BATMAN AGAIN): Batman is pretty much one individual, with unlimited resources. So why not expand on that idea?

That line of thinking then led to Bruce Wayne publically admitting that he funded Batman’s war on crime, while he kept quiet about the fact that he secretly was the caped crusader. From that starting point, he created Batman Inc. and started funding other Batmen and vigilantes around the world. Which created dozens of new job openings in the dental industry when criminal tooth damage skyrocketed to unprecedented levels worldwide.

To signal the big shift in how he fought crime, a new Batsuit was designed. Sleeker and with his underwear on the right side of his pants, this was a Batman that was ready to protect not just Gotham, but the entire world. Neat, right? This content follows on from December’s Season of Infamy, which wasn’t half-bad at all.

Yeah, also Chrome. I also note that I haven’t been able to even highlight text in the bodycopy…

I’m running chrome and I got no issues. Though there are times I need to refresh about 5 times.

Geoff mentioned that there is a bug in the theme.

The source of the bug is all Darryn’s selfie pics he tries to save on the server

How much were they “redesigned”? Or are they just selling you content from older games?

They had a finished product (season pass), then cut it into pieces and called it DLC
