One of the fanciest new features in Black Ops 2 is the ability to live stream your title direct via YouTube in real time.

During our review event this ability was demonstrated to us and while it really is a gimmick it’s a nice one that could be great for showcasing big matches.

But there is a catch… it won’t work in South Africa and not for the first time we can blame Telkom for this one.

While the final requirements have not yet been officially revealed when I asked one of the Treyarch representatives at the event how much upstream bandwidth would be required he replied with

“It hasn’t been defined yet but you are looking at between 1.5Mbps and 2Mbps most likely”

Our top of the line 10Mb lines have a 500k upload speed, so yeah this isn’t going to work.

Right now this is still unconfirmed. It came direct from the horses mouth, but it’s still a rumour. that said, I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
