What, a Ubisoft game without any plans for post-launch content? Clearly you come from a parallel Earth, where Vince McMahon’s catch-phrase is “YOU’RE HIIIIIIIIRED” and Donald Trump is a sane, compassionate human being who is seen as a champion of the downtrodden. Man, your dimension sucks. Anyway, Folks are busy getting their hands on The Division right now, thanks to a beta that left most of the Lazygamer team dead when Geoff decided to go rogue on a dozen level ten players last night.
Ubisoft has a road map for The Division, one that includes several cash-dollar expansions and a series of free updates after the March launch. The expansions included in the DLC season pass will include: Underground, Survival, and Last Stand. Here’s a bunch of details on 66% of that content:
Expansion 1: Underground
This first major expansion opens up a new area to players as they explore the uncharted underworld of New York City with up to four friends for intense co-op action
Expansion 2: Survival
In this expansion, players will have to survive as long as possible in a very hostile environment that will challenge even the most talented agents.
Expansion 3: Last Stand
Details still to be revealed
Ubisoft is hoping to sweeten the deal by throwing in a special set of outfits, weapon skins and a sawed-off shotgun to anyone who purchases the season pass. In addition to all that, season pass owners will also gain access to “special monthly benefits including exclusive content drops and special events.” The season pass is automatically included in the Gold and Sleeper editions of The Division.
As for those previously mentioned free updates, these will include new game modes, such as an upcoming co-op mode where players need to band together to unlock “unique rewards”. There’s also been talk of the Brooklyn borough being added as DLC, although records are spotty at best when it comes to this rumour.
