Destiny’s next expansion could be “The Taken King”

The-Taken-King

It’s been almost a year since Destiny released. And since then, it’s been staying the course on the DLC promise, realising its potential. And there’s more DLC on the way. Now, I don’t who you are, or what you want. If it’s money, I can assure you that I’m quite broke after buying a Hatsune Miku body-pillow. But what I do have are a very particular lack of skills, skills I have acquired over a very short career. Skills that make me an annoyance for people like you. If you let my game go, that’ll be the end of it. I will…Dammit Bungie hung up on me.

NeoGAF did some digging and discovered a new Bungie trademark for “The Taken King”. According to the application for “downloadable video games” that was filed on April 28, it’ll tie into two of the existing Destiny expansions, The Dark Below and the soon to be released House of Wolves. There’s a neat little logo attached to it as well, which looks quite similar to the symbol of the Hive alien race. Check it out:

And just for extra clarity, here’s the Hive Grimoire card:

Destiny taken (2)

House of Wolves is almost here, launching on May 19. It’s purported to be one of the bigger content drops for Destiny, although it could soon be outclassed by the rumoured “Comet” that is arriving in the Northern fall which Taken King could be part of. I’m planning to properly dip into Destiny soon myself. I’ve been patient, the game is cheap enough now and I want to see if that’s paid off. Show me some potential, yo.

  1. Prison of Elders looks like a hell of a good game mode that will be coming with The House of Wolves. Watched some videos of it last night and it looks fun and challenging. I am getting excited again 🙂

Oh and Trials of Osiris looks to have finally sorted out the PvP problem of playing for hours and getting nothing for your efforts. Hopefully it works as advertised!

I have all those guns and more, and I haven’t needed 5 other players to help me get it… I am the Cryptarch whisperer.

I’ve got Gjallarhorn though, but no Necro weapons. The weapons from the Raids is cool and helps a bit in the Iron Banner but further than that I don’t see the point. Hope these two changes helps us poor souls who can’t find 5 friends 🙂

With HOW not having a raid, I feel they have screwed their PVE fanbase a lot. Especially the raid teams out there.

The Twitch stream of POE left me feeling extremely disappointed at what I was seeing. It is something new, yipee, But I think the experience will be one of frustrations and anger, it looks to be missing something, and can see weekly resets being met by, “FFS we have to do the F&*^ POE again. Who here wants to give it a skip? Ok, good, we don’t need it anyways”

But I will still be playing this week in and week out. Everyday.
