Tin Tin fades off and things liven up nicely with Ghost Recon, which is being set in Africa this time around. Nigeria to be exact but don’t feel bad because there is Afrikaans in the game as well thanks to our ever growing reputation of being naturally bad assed down here in SA.

The demo is looking great but unfortunately goes on for far to long and media start becoming restless, this is a good lesson to all PR people. Keep it relevant and short to keep the ADHD afflicted media interested.

Ubisoft then announce a free to play version of Ghost Recon coming soon to a PC near you. More details about that in the future I’m guessing.

Next up we shoot through a demonstration of Trackmania which is being touted as a new social platform and really just doesn’t excite us much right now but then they go on to announce Shootmania and Questmania which is going to bring the Trackmania ethos to shooters and RPG’s… we’re not sure exactly how that is going to work but if they get it right we might finally get a shooter on consoles with true custom maps which reminds me instantly of all the time I wasted on Quake in my younger days.

Next up we have my favourite gaming characters of all time, The Rabbids, and this time they are in an augmented reality Kinect game. I can’t say I’m overly excited about yet another Kinect mini-game but it’s Rabbids so I’m giving this one a free pass until we see more of what they have to offer.

And then to round out the conference Ubisoft bring out their all conquering adventure title, Assassin’s Creed Revelations.

There isn’t much we can say about this either, they are simply extending and improving an already impeccable series and the trailer below shows you everything you need to know.

And that’s that, the conference ran on a little long but Ubisoft had some great announcements that were made. I personally need to get my hands on Assassin’s Revelations, Far Cry 3 and Rayman Origins.. What was your favourite moment from their conference?
