E3 2012: How long can you survive against the Ubisoft line up?

2 min read

If there is one developer who happens to produce consistently high quality titles, that’s Ubisoft. They’ve got their foot in the door for the Wii U launch, and so far, their range of games make the Wii U feel less like a gimmick, and more like a complete entertainment system.

First up, the cockney-undead of ZombiU.

It looks slick and polished, as players will have to shoot their way past the shambling living-impaired. The hook with the Wii U controller however, is that it will augment the violence, acting as a gun and scope, while also being used for several challenge, such as hacking doors.

After the brief presentation, Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime is invited to be a guinea pig for the device, as it captures footage of his face, and zombifies it. It’s not a hundred percent perfect, but it looks like a fun extra. Plus, Fils-Aime would make for a scary zombie.

Afterwards, Ubisoft shows off a quick montage of what to expect from them. Rayman Legends, Just Dance 4, fitness games, and an Assassin’s Creed logo that sits prominently on the controller, but is never examined.

And with that, the Ubisoft portion is over.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
