The more I see of Team Bondi’s L.A Noire, the more excited I become. We’ve seen the incredible motion capture and facial animation systems they’ve got at work, and thanks to the most recent trailer we’ve got a small taste of its narrative. It’s a game that’s been through development hell, but it looks like it’ll soon escape that torment and emerge as one of the year’s best games.
The lovely people at Rockstar Games sent us some brand new shots of the game – along with some teaser info – and my excitement is rising exponentially. Screens after the jump!
In L.A noire, you’ll play as Detective Cole Phelps as you rise through the LAPD in five different police departments. Naturally, homicide will present you with some of the game’s more violent and brutal cases.
Today’s screenshots are from Homicide, and will give you just a taste of what to expect when the game gets released in May.
