Physics seems to be the next big thing in the gaming industry and it’s not hard to see why. The graphics that the leading gaming machines (excl Wii) are able to produce are absolutely amazing. Granted they are not photorealistic yet but they are as close as really required…. Well for me at least.
However the reactions and interactions with the environments in games still has a long way to go. The video above gives us some insight into the physics engine inside GTA IV and some of the reactions are truly impressive.
I love the way the dolls cling to things to stop themselves from falling.
