Hopefully the final word on the Gamespot affair

Gamespot in conjunction with their parent company CNet has decided to make an exception and discuss the details behind the now infamous firing of Jeff Gerstmann.

They have answered a set of questions that have popped up all over the internet and to be honest they seem to be being honest. As to removing the video review and altering the original review they mentioned

Jeff’s supervisors and select members of the edit team felt the review’s negativity did not match its “fair” 6.0 rating.

Which is what a lot of you were saying after viewing the video…
