Indie fish go against the main stream.

How many gaming festivals are held in South Africa? I’ll give you a hint. You can count ‘em on one hand. SO when something new and exciting comes along, you can be sure that we’ll let you know about it.

After all, this one sounds A MAZEing.

The A MAZE segment of the Interact Festival is around the corner. From August 28 to September 2, several locations in downtown, Braamfontein, Johannesburg will play host to the gathering, which is seeking all willing indie game developers and crew to take part in.

A games and media art festival, Interact is partnered with the Goethe Institute Johannesburg, Witwatersrand University, University of Johannesburg, Praekelt Foundation, VANSA, Trinity Session, Transmediale, CIANT and Coded Culture.

If you want to take part in it, drop an email with [email protected] , Before June 15. It’s always great to see these experimental gaming festivals take place guys, so don’t delay, this looks like some real fun.

Plus Indie games receive way too little love these days, with most festivals pimping out the bigger, better funded behemoths of gaming which we also enjoy, so make a turn, and give these guys a well deserved chance.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
