Seb Downie of Guerilla Games has re-confirmed that Killzone 2 will have a public beta test to make sure that everything is working as planned.
I think these Beta tests are dangerous as they could slow momentum for a title, especially one as hyped as this.. I think the public beta of Halo 3 did more harm than good for the title. However the semi-public COD4 beta was a huge success in that it was hard to get into and also only showed a limited amount of playability.
Killzone 2 is expected to be released late next year, I am guessing around October/November….. I am looking forward to seeing how this turns out in the end..
