The upcoming multiplayer mech combat game HAWKEN has finally gone into alpha testing and now means that closed beta testing isn’t far off. Gamers interested in playing in this most awesome beta instead of spending over a million bucks to buy an IRL one can enlist here.

Set to release on 12/12 2012 HAWKEN, developed by Adhesive Games will be a free-to-play game set in a post-apocalyptic, industrialized planet where humans will battle for dwindling resources. Winning just about 20 E3 awards, this game for PC and Mac has been generating more buzz lately, and will be displayed at Gamescom this week.

If you haven’t yet, you should probably see this live action Trailer.
