Pvz2

The original Plants vz Zombies is probably one of my favourite games of all time, ever. I own it on far too many platforms and have finished it twice on just about all of them. Its…ugh…free to play sequel launched recently, and according to PopCap, has been downloaded over 25 million times.

Of course, much of that has to do with the fact that it is free – but it’s still impressive considering it’s exclusive to iOS devices right now. and despite being free to play, it is still an excellent game, requiring not a cent to spent to finish it.

While I’ve invested a heck of a lot of time in PvZ 2, I absolutely refuse to spend any money – especially considering that it costs $2.99 to buy a single plant; which very nearly made me throw up in my own shoes. Had EA and PopCap made the plants 99c, I’d probably have picked them all up without a second thought…but at  $3 a plant, it somehow feels pretty wasteful.

Have you played PvZ2 (You really should!) ? Would you spend any money on it (You really shouldn’t!)?

I’d probably play it if/when it comes out on one of my devices but I won’t throw any cash at it.

Absolutely! If by “Android” you mean “iOS”.

According to Disqus I am now also Lardus-Respect the beard. Always wondered what it would be like to be male, and have a beard.

Can’t say I’m awed. But I do respect The Beard.

I have to say I’m not really being pulled into this one like I was the first… it’s just not as appealing

It has hooked me like the first one did. I’ve sunk plenty of time into it already. Got all the stars in the first 2 areas now. I haven’t spent a cent either. There is so much content that is free that I’ve seen no need nor had any desire for the stuff locked behind pay doors. I’m loving it.

Keen to give this a bash as soon as it comes to PC or Android. Until then I have plenty to keep me busy with (will be interesting to see what they plan to do on PC for their microtransaction shit lol).

heres a crazy idea. how about charging a reasonable amount for the game, as it is a quality product and as awesome as the first, and cut out the bullshit pay for extras feature.
release a full and compete game for a price, and people will buy it and enjoy it and the world will be a happier place.

take your pay for special plants feature, stick them firmly up your rigid ass, and fuck off
